The Equestrian Trails Patrol is a statewide organization of trail riders authorized by CSHA.  Each patrol member must be dedicated to the promotion of good trails, adequate trail rules, ordinances and laws governing the use of trails in California.
Each member will assist all who use trails to understand and obey the rules, and will work for the protection of property owners and their rights and interests so that better understanding will be promoted between trail users and property owners. An Equestrian Trails Patrolman does not have police powers.
