CSHA membership is required to participate in the English Western program. If you are not a current member of CSHA, download the State Membership Application form and remit the proper fees to CSHA.
The English Western program rules require that in order to compete in an amateur adult division, all competitors 18 years and older must provide proof of their amateur status. Competitors must posses either a CSHA amateur card or an amateur card issued by a nationally recognized equestrian organization or breed association. If you do not posses a current amateur card you can download the CSHA Amateur Card Application.

If the Region where you live does not have a English Western High Point program, you may sign up in the closest Region with a high point program. Contact the State English Western Program Chair for more information.

A $25 State English Western Program registration fee is required to be paid by each horse and rider/handler combination competing in a Region English Western program. Regions are required to collect the State EW fee.
All State EW fees collected will be documented on the CSHA Deposit Form (provided below or in a similar format) by listing the individual name of each rider/handler. In most cases the Region may submit a single check written by the Region for the total fees collected.
It is not necessary to submit program registration forms for the rider/handler with the CSHA Deposit Form, as long as their names are listed on the deposit form.
The Region SCS Intent to Participate form is used to indicate the Region’s intent to send riders to the State Championship Show. The form is used to show the number of riders competing in each category and age division. Regions are required to pay an intent fee based on the number of categories the Region will be competing in.
A penalty will apply if the intent fee and form is not received before or postmarked on August 1st. Forms and fees received or postmarked after September 1st will result in Region disqualification.
