CSHA Drill Team Manual

Three member team.Drill Team is one of the few team disciplines available for equestrians. Teams of four to twenty or even more come together for various reasons; competition, parades, rodeo performance, community service, or just for fun and team camaraderie. CSHA Drill Team program promotes preservation, participation, and education of this entertaining and wholesome family sport.

CSHA annually hosts the California State Drill Team Championship Competition showcasing the hard work and dedication of the teams.

Most horses adapt well to drill and it is a fun and exciting way to connect with your horse and your friends. Drill encourages great horsemanship, dedicated teamwork, responsibility and self-respect and the pride of achieving team goals together.

Some teams seek to entertain crowds with high-speed breathtaking manuevers executed in a blur of brightly colored glamorous outfits to a cacophony of toe-tapping music. Other teams teach horseback riding and stress the military background and leadership training.

Drill Team Youth

Whatever your mission is you can be sure you will find appreciation, respect and enjoyment in the sport of equestrian drill. Try it and you will be hooked!
