U C DAVIS VETERINARY SCHOLARSHIP THROUGH THE YEARS

INTRODUCTION

CSHA’s connection with UC Davis through the Charitable Trust appears to have begun in the mid- 1970s when the Debra Jean Canton Memorial Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of awarding a scholarship at UC Davis. After the depletion of the original memorial funding, the scholarship was continued under a new name; i.e. the CSHA Memorial UC Davis Veterinary Scholarship and was issued each year that sufficient funds were donated in memory of someone. Once sufficient funds were on hand to continue the scholarship, the “memorial” was dropped and the CSHA UC Davis Veterinary Scholarship continued.
