Dr. Aaron Harlan – Veterinary Scholarship Winner
Our U.C. Davis Veterinary Scholarship is awarded to a fourth-year student at U.C. Davis who has demonstrated proficiency in equine medicine or surgery.
The recipient of the 2016 U.C Davis Veterinary Scholarship funded by CSHA through the CSHA Charitable Trust is Aaron Harlan of Ramona, California. Harlan graduated from Ramona High School and attended California State University of San Marcos before entering UC Davis. While at CSUSM he majored in biology and participated in research concerning the seasonal reproduction of the Giant Panda and volunteered at large and small animal practices. Harlan enjoys hiking, photography, cycling and horseback riding which led him to an equine career.
Aaron extends his thanks to the members of CSHA for this scholarship which has helped him reach his goal of becoming an equine veterinarian. Aaron advised us that he has obtained a position as an associate veterinarian at a large animal practice in southern California and will repay all the help he has received in reaching his career goal by providing the best quality care possible for his patients and clients.
